Cosas de Tango organizes every autumn an encuentro milonguero in Milan, dedicated to its members.
Here we are at the ninth edition! Milan is awaiting experienced Milongueras and Milongueros who are willing to friendly share the same concept of argentine social tango”bien milonguero”: traditional music, close embrace, mirada and cabeceo, respect of dance rules, attention to the dancefloor and its “ronda”.

The association Cosas de Tango organizes events of Argentine tango, in particular Encuentros Milongueros. President of the association is Maria Teresa Piazzolla, who has been a passionate milonguera since 1997 and a TDJ since 2000 when she TDJed for the first time at the Literaturhaus (House of Literature) in Hamburg.
She was resident TdJ at the historic Milan Milonga ‘Tangoy’ from 2003 to 2012,where she also was artistic co-director from 2008 to 2012. She’s been organizing Mi Noche Milonguera since 2014.
The designated place for our milonga will be the Circolo Filologico Milanese founded in 1872, right in the heart of the city, just a couple of minutes walk from the main cathedral (the Duomo) and the renowned theatre La Scala. The Circolo Filologico Milanese is the oldest cultural association in Milan, whose mission has always been to promote the study of language cultures and civilizations.
We will dance on the wooden floor of the Liberty Hall (Sala Liberty), under its finely decorated glass ceiling. This year we will develop and consolidate our friendship not only on the dancefloor but also at the Happy Hour/light dinner event (a typically Milanese ‘rite’), which will take place inside the Circolo Filologico, right after the Saturday afternoon milonga.
